Prexury Collection

Prexury

Cosentino presents the “Prexury Collection”. These are slabs made from semiprecious materials such as amethysts, very pure quartz and petrified wood which are fused together using high quality epoxy resin, and then calibrated and polished.

All of these products are carefully handcrafted using semi-precious stones, fossilised materials and very pure quartz to obtain a harmonious combination of strikingly beautiful natural elements. The excellent characteristics of the semiprecious stones give the final product outstanding physical features. Some of the colours in the collection can be back-litghted to enhance their luminosity and uniqueness.

In terms of handling and installation, the product behaves similarly to granite and can be installed by any marble installer (Download manufacturer’s instructions in pdf form).

Each slab has an ASP (Authentic Semi-Precious Stone) certificate of authenticity which identifies it and ensures product traceability. The product also comes with insurance which means it can be replaced in the event of breakage.

There are 12 colours in the product range, available in slabs of 2 and 3 cm, 277 X 147 X 3. 2 and 3 cm flooring is also available with the option of any type of processing.

Differentiating values:

- Full thickness of semi-precious stone: You may find products on the market which, at first glance, resemble Prexury slabs. But most of these products are composed of a backing made from natural stone, glass or some other material, overlaid by semi-precious stone chips. Prexury slabs weigh approximately 400 kg as the entire slab is composed of semiprecious stone.

- Real semi-precious stones: Prexury uses real semi-precious stones and our guarantee comes in the form of an “ASP Certificate” which certifies that all stone used in the pieces are classed as such. That is, the quality and value of this product is superior to that of other existing products on the market. These other products are frequently manufactured by combining semi-precious stones with other materials. At first glance the differences may not be seen, but after closer scrutiny the differences are obvious.

- Semi-precious stones from all over the world: The semi-precious stones used in the Prexury collection come from all over the globe, including Africa, South America, America, Australia and North America. These stones are traditionally used in jewellery or as ornamental elements.

- High-quality features: All semi-precious stones are resistant to stains as well as scratches and heat. Their physical properties are equal to, if not better than, those seen in granite. In fact, manufacturing methods do not differ too much from those used in the production of granite slabs. The Prexury collection stones have a hardness of between 7 and 9 on the Moh's scale of hardness; whilst granite has a hardness of between 5 and 7.

Each of the semi-precious stones found in the Prexury collection bears a unique and fascinating history; and now you too can be part of it.
